My Brother's Keeper Summit: Saturday, May 16, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

WHO: The My Brother’s Keeper Summit is a joint partnership between the DeKalb County School District, DeKalb County Government, 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, media partner V-103/WAOK CBS Broadcasting, and other collaborative partners.
WHAT: My Brother’s Keeper Summit is a President Barack Obama initiative that addresses persistent opportunity gaps by boys and young men of color and ensures that all young people can reach their full potential. My Brother’s Keeper seeks to bring together leaders, organizations, and people in communities around the country to work together to improve the life outcomes of young people in America.
Breakfast, lunch, and free childcare will be provided as well as celebrity guests, workshops and more!
Workshops will include: Improving Police Relations in Urban Communities ● The Gift of Life; Saving Black Lives through Organ Donorship ● Leadership Skills ● Getting Your Money Right ● Dismantling the School To Prison Pipeline Panel Discussion ● Family & Relationship Dynamics Within The African American Community ● Discovering Your Voice
